| The current version of wydiwys.js assumes a fixed slide size. I plan to change that so it intelligently autosizes to the screen, while preserving aspect ratio, and I may have that done before the conference. Other than that, wydiwys slide presentation works like a champ! |
The presentations are practiced and ready. Some animations take 20 seconds to download on a 4Mbps pipe. My server has a 1000 Mbps pipe into the cloud, but the MS Conference center may be older technology or slower. I will have the presentations on a USB flash drive and a CDrom; I will also have spares, a powered USB2 hub, cables, my own remote presenter, and other tools. However, I would like 5 minutes to test the setup in the auditorium so I know what I can use. The slides had a kilometer/meter bug in them. I broke the web slides between 1800 and 2100 on August 11, fixing them. They should be fine now. The new version of wydiwys.js intelligently autosizes to the screen, while preserving aspect ratio. It also preloads some of the images into the browser, making it change slides a little faster. |
