Rebooting India

I only had time to skim this book. It begins with a description of Aadhaar, an identity system for residents of India, wnich is a number tied to a retina scan. This can be used for unique identification of Indian citizens and others, to help with voting, subsidy distribution, bank accounts, etc.

A big concern for server sky is individually-owned thinsats; how can individuals securely purchase, retain, or sell thinsats without coercion or fraud? I wonder if there is a way to determine duress while making a retina scan?

I wish I had more time for this book, but I hope other readers of this website and this book will explore the connections.
